Draft — under legal review

Privacy Policy

This draft describes how ProBX handles personal information during public preview. It will be replaced by a reviewed policy before any controlled beta or public launch.

Who we are

ProBX.ca is operated by Hanada Technologies Inc.. Privacy contact: privacy@hanada.ca.

What we collect

Account information (name, email, sign-in credentials or a third-party sign-in identity); the seller, buyer or advisor profile information you choose to enter, including business and financial details; readiness self-assessment answers; correction or complaint requests; and technical information needed to operate and secure the service. We do not collect information from children, and we do not purchase personal information.

Early-access requests

If you use an Early Access form ("I'm Considering Selling", "I'm Looking to Buy", "Join Advisor Network", or a response to a Businesses Wanted mandate), we collect your name, e-mail address and, if you choose to provide them, phone number, business or firm name, province and city/region, a short note, and a few optional context fields (for example industry, broad timing or acquisition size, profession, designations or a referral name). Mandate responses also record the mandate reference. We record your consent to follow-up and the version of this draft you acknowledged. We use this information only to review the request manually and follow up with you. Requests are never published and are not shared with buyers, sellers or advisors without your express authorization. Please do not include financial statements, tax or government identifiers or other confidential details in these forms.

BBE course registration and payment

If you register for a Business Brokerage Education (BBE) session, we collect your name, e-mail address, province or territory and, if you choose to provide them, phone number, brokerage or organization and professional role or licence designation, together with your consent to course-related communications and the version of this draft you acknowledged. Tuition is paid through Stripe's hosted checkout. Stripe collects and processes your payment card details under its own privacy policy and terms; ProBX never receives or stores card numbers. ProBX records only the registration reference, session, tuition amount and currency, pricing tier, Stripe checkout and payment identifiers, payment status and timestamps, so that we can confirm your place, send session access and PDP documentation, and answer questions about your registration. Stripe sends the payment receipt by e-mail. Registration records are visible only to authorized ProBX administrators and are not published or shared with other participants.

How we use it

To operate your account and private profile; to compute your own readiness view; to review submissions when you ask us to; to handle corrections and complaints; to secure the platform; and, in future and only with your express authorization, to support confidential matching and introductions. We do not sell personal information.

Confidentiality by default

Profile and business information is visible only to you unless you expressly authorize disclosure. Access is enforced at the database level, and administrative access to submissions is limited and recorded as described in ProBX's published decision records. Demonstration content on the public site is fictional and contains no participant data.

Third-party tools

Where ProBX links to an external tool (for example a third-party AI readiness assistant), information you enter there is handled by that provider under its own terms; it is not stored by ProBX and does not affect your ProBX profile. Sign-in providers process the information needed to authenticate you.

Retention, access and deletion

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to meet legal obligations. You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information by contacting privacy@hanada.ca; corrections to profile information can also be requested through the corrections process. A formal retention schedule will accompany the reviewed policy. Policy direction for early-access requests: they are retained for 24 months after the last meaningful interaction unless you become an active ProBX participant or client, or continued retention is otherwise required or consented to. Automatic deletion is not yet in place; retention dates are recorded for review.

Jurisdiction

ProBX is designed to operate in accordance with Canadian federal and provincial private-sector privacy legislation (including PIPEDA and equivalent provincial laws). Data may be processed by infrastructure providers outside your province.

Changes

This draft will change. The effective date and a change history will be published with the reviewed policy.
