Introduction to BBE

A short overview of what the course covers, who it is for, and how it fits into professional practice.

What BBE is

BBE is a live, instructor-led course dedicated to business brokerage: the process, standards and judgement involved when a privately held business changes hands. It is taught by practitioners and designed to be applied immediately in professional practice.

Who should take it

  • REALTORS® and commercial real estate professionals asked to help clients sell or buy a business
  • Lawyers, accountants and tax advisors who support owners through a transition
  • Lenders, financing specialists and investors who evaluate small and mid-sized business acquisitions
  • Professionals entering business brokerage from a related discipline

Why specialised education matters

  • Business sales differ from real estate or asset transactions: confidentiality, buyer qualification, financial normalisation, valuation, deal structure and transition risk all need specific handling.
  • Most professional programmes touch business brokerage only briefly. BBE is dedicated to it.
  • Owners and buyers are better served by advisors who understand the full process, from preparation to closing.
