ProBX isn't only for business brokers. It's a multidisciplinary network built around business transitions, and there's a place in it for anyone who advises owners and buyers through that process: M&A lawyers, accountants, business brokers, commercial real estate advisors, valuators, lenders, franchise advisors, tax and wealth advisors, HR consultants, insurance advisors, environmental consultants, and transition specialists.
How the application works today
Joining isn't an automated sign-up, and it isn't meant to be. You submit an expression of interest — your name, email, firm, location, profession, and credentials — and ProBX reviews it manually before anything goes live. Submitting the form doesn't by itself create a listing, a membership, or any engagement.
That manual step is deliberate. We're building this network one advisor at a time rather than opening a directory anyone can list themselves in without review — the whole point is that being on ProBX should mean something.
What's expected once you're in
Joining the network means agreeing to the Advisor Code of Conduct, and it doesn't replace your existing professional obligations. You remain responsible for your own licensing, insurance, conflict checks, and the advice you give within your own scope of practice. ProBX doesn't recommend or endorse any advisor over another — your reputation is what does the work from there.
If you're a business broker specifically
Pair your application with Business Brokerage Education (BBE) — a foundational program covering business preparation, valuation, marketing, sale, and transition, accredited for 12 PDP hours through BCREA. It's a concrete way to show the credibility this network is built around, while broader verification tools are still being built.
